In Fuquay-Varina, we love that we experience all four seasons, but something about fall’s crisp weather, gorgeous landscapes, and abundant harvests just tugs at our heartstrings. This time of year is bursting with events and festivals of every kind, and we can’t forget about the scary good times that late-October brings. Luckily, we don’t have to go far to experience the best of the season, since it happens right here in our hometown! Here are our top five favorite events this fall in Fuquay-Varina NC!

Naylor Family Farm Park

6016 US 401 North | Open Daily from September 18 – November 6, 2021

Once you visit this family-friendly farm, the kids will beg to return year after year! Start off the season the right way by visiting this family-owned, working farm that grows strawberries, cantaloupes, watermelons, tomatoes, and corn, and raises pigs, cows, goats, and other awesome animals. During the fall season you can get lost in (or with luck, find your way out of!) the 10-acre corn maze, pet the farm animals, take a hayride, rope a calf, take home your very own pumpkin, and lots more. It’s quintessential fall family fun!

Celebrate Fuquay-Varina

Downtown | Saturday, October 2, 2021 | 10-4 p.m.

Come celebrate all the things that make Fuquay-Varina such an ideal place to live! Every fall, the town pulls out all the stops for a day of live entertainment, craft beer, food trucks, arts & crafts, and a free kids zone. You can even take a leisurely walk with the mayor to see the town’s historic sites! Several streets in the downtown area close to cars for the day and all the stores and shops open up, making this the ultimate walkable festival!

Haunted Trail

820 S Main Street | October 16, 2021 | 5-9 p.m.

It can’t be Halloween without a spooky Haunted Trail! Don’t worry, parents; this is actually a kid-friendly event from 5-6 p.m. with a sun-lit, fun walk through the trail when visitors of all ages can dress in costumes and interact with the characters. After 7 p.m. though, get ready for the Full Fright experience (not recommended for children under 10)! Take a terrifying walk through the dark woods and prepare (as best you can) for hordes of unexpected visitors.

Events at the Fuquay-Varina Arts Center

123 East Vance Street | All Season Long

The Arts Center is Fuquay-Varina’s premier venue to catch a concert, attend an art opening, or take an interesting class. Fall and winter events include The Nutcracker, indie films, and numerous concerts and plays.

Every year, the whole town gathers downtown to watch the lighting of the beautiful holiday tree.
